Japanese Jacket.
  1996
I made this Japanese Style Jacket from rectangles & squres at a two day workshop in Lyndhurst. I adjusted the sizing slightly to make the garment suitable for a taller person. The jacket was a gift to my Mother.
Machine pieced, hand appliqued & hand quilted by me.

Bead Head.
  2000
Started life as a series of celtic blocks, but I got tired of them so passed them on to my Mother, who turned them into a bedhead for their bedroom.
Hand Appliqued & hand quilted by me. Hand pieced & finished by Margaret Needham.

Shopping bags.
  2002
After a glut of plastic bags at home I decided to make some shopping bags of my own, so far I have only made these two, but more are in the pipeline. A good way of showcasing a nice fabric that you don't want to chop into little shapes!

United in Memory Block
  2002
After the September 11th terrorist attack a web site was set up to make a series of quilts in the same vein as the 'names' quilt for AID's victims. All the names of the people who died were put on the website & quilters from all over the world were invited to pick a name and make an 18" block - I decided on a man called John Christopher Moran, from Surrey. I used some Union Jack fabric & made eight 'liberated stars' as a tribute to the fact that his death occured in the USA. my block has now been sewn with many others into a quilt. The quilts can be seen at http://www.unitedinmemory.net. Picture courtesy of the United in Memory Website.
